WART REMOVAL BY LASER
Taking into account the localization of warts, the laser wart removal is usually carried out by applying local anaesthetics: injecting a local anaesthetic into the skin so the procedure is completely painless. In removing warts, the laser energy is focused directly on the wart-forming tissue; it is destroyed and removed. The laser wart removal procedure takes 10–30 minutes on average, depending on the number of warts, their size and localization.
After the laser wart removal procedure and in order to avoid the risk of infection, the treated area must be kept clean and dry. The doctor will explain how to care for your skin at home.
MOLLUSCUM CONTAGIOSUM AND PAPILLOMAS LASER TREATMENT
This is a viral disease of the skin caused by poxvirus, which has spread throughout the world. The disease is most common in children and young adults, and more rarely in adults. People get infected when they are in contact with the sick or a virus carrier, as well as indirectly through contaminated objects. Often, children attending groups get infected. In addition, adults who visit the swimming pool often get this virus. Incubation takes from 2–3 weeks to several months, and sometimes even up to 1 year.
What does molluscum contagiosum look like? It looks like isolated, small, shiny, round or oval nodules of pearlescent shade with a sunken center and constricted core appear on the skin. The most common nodules are 1–5 mm in diameter, sometimes up to 10 mm. Localization of nodules is various – they are located on the face, neck, armpits, chest, arms, popliteals, groin, and genitals. For some people, isolated nodules appear, and for others they can be widely disseminated.
